Kearney Nebraska

I forgot in the haste of my last post to mention that I have being invited to "move back home". I received a post card from "you'rehome Kearney!" just the other day. It talks about the convenience of a city with a slower pace that lets you enjoy life. It suggests hundreds of job, in stark contrast however to the recent news of one company going bankrupt and another doing temporary layoff. However I remain interested. Retirement looms down the line.

I guess I should be pleased that they want me back. I am not sure how I got on the list of invitees, but it made me feel good. So, if you didn't get the postcard you can go to returnhome@kearneycoc.org for all of the details.

The way my retirement investments are going I may need to take them up on the offer.

I am seriously offended that I have not been invited to move back to Kearney. Although I wasn't born there and didn't graduate from high school there, I lived many formative years on West 23rd Street and later downtown. I graduated from college in Kearney and got married in Kearney so you'd think I would qualify for any "move-back" program. Who do I talk to about this?
